Ariella Y.
Private tutor in Saratoga, CA
Education
I have a B.A. in Art History with Architecture & Environment emphasis and B.A. in Global Studies, both awarded 2016 from University of California at Santa Barbara. I'm currently getting my M.Arch (that's a Masters of Architecture) at University of Texas at Austin, in my second year.
Experience
I was a professional editor for 3 years, including an "emergency editing" service for rush jobs (12 hours or less), which was popular with college students. I got a perfect score on the SAT subject test for Literature (without studying). I've been published in The Billfold and The Toast. I have worked at an architectural firm, and am proficient with Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC, Rhino 5, Tinkercad, and Microsoft Office Suite. I've worked as a TA, teaching architectural history to college students, and have been a private tutor for college essay applications, graphic design, 3D design, and creative writing.

Hobbies
I am a fast-talking, quick-reading, encouraging tutor who is most interested in making the student interested. As far as what I do in my off time? I love to read (obviously!), talk about philosophy, play chess (badly), and most importantly (to me) dance! I'm currently rereading Jane Jacobs' "Death and Life of the American City" and reading Amor Towles' "A Gentleman in Moscow".
